Why "Joy Photography?" You may ask me. "Is it just because you like to capture joyful images?" Well, yes...but actually, my middle name is Joy. At first I was never truly fond of it. However, as I grew up and God truly gave me his joy, I have now come to accept it and embrace it.

So now to give you a little background about me:

Photography is my one of my passions. The first time I got my hands on a camera was in 2nd grade when my family went on a trip to Washington D.C. My parents let me have my very own disposable camera and I was so excited. But after we visited Grace Cathedral and I had taken over 20 photos of just the church, I was scolded for wasting pictures and was not given another camera for years.

Since then though, I have been able to explore photographer through various college photography courses, traveling abroad, working as a photographer in a portrait studio, and just playing around for fun. I find a love and passion in photography that I find in little else. I believe that this love is God-given and that through it I can share the JOY for life that God has given me.
