Judy's Bio

Judy in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. I have learned firsthand about God's Power showing up in human weakness. A Psalm of David declares that God is there when we are formed in our mother's womb. I have to believe that my birth defect was not a fetal fluk but a holy design.

Each chapter of my life has been grounded in truths from God's Word. Filling my mind and heart with promises from the Bible have been the key to living life to the full.

My favorite verses, to mention only a few, include:

I began my public speaking career when I was thirteen with the talk "Learning to Walk with Artificial Limbs." This evolved into "Learning to Walk with Jesus Christ." Hundreds of speeches later, my messages model authentic hope as I recap tales of a daily life in relationship with a down to earth God. A God of abundance. A God of surprises. A God who wants us to dream big.

I married my college sweetheart, David Squier, the same month I received my Masters Degree in Speech, enjoying ten years as a speech pathologist before becoming the full time mother to Emily, Elizabeth and Naphtalie.

More recently I have become a published writer with articles appearing in magazines, newsletters and newspapers and stories published in numerous book compilations. I have established myself as a travel writer in the field of wheelchair accessibility throughout the world.

In 1991, I received the Anschutz Award in Washington DC from Family Research Council and Focus on the Family for my unique role in 'protecting, encouraging and strengthening the American Family.' I was a guest on Sheila Walsh's Heart to Heart shorthly thereafter.

Most recently I have taken my message of hope to Romania and Moldova encouraging mothers of disabled children. And in January 2006, David and I were team-members with Joni and Friends Wheels for the World delivering 200 wheelchairs throughout Thailand.
